Production of concrete from recycled aggregates in the Czech Republic in 2022

The rapid growth of the world population and its concentration in large cities represents a major impact on the construction industry and the production of building materials. The recycling of building materials is an effective solution for meeting the requirements for the construction of new buildings and at the same time to achieve sustainable development on Earth. How does the Czech Republic fare in this respect and what are the international technical requirements for recycled aggregates? And can natural aggregates be completely replaced by recycled aggregates during the production of concrete? The answer can be found in a professional article by prof. Ing. Rudolf Hela, CSc., Ing. Klára Křížová, Ph.D., Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Institute of Building Materials and Components Technology, and Ing. Miroslav Kývala, ERC BETON s.r.o.
